Galvanised Pedestrian Crowd Control Barrier 2.3m – Rigid Footing & Easy Interlocking
This Pedestrian Crowd Control Barrier is the workhorse of UK construction and civil engineering sites. It is the go-to choice when you need a high volume of barriers deployed quickly across a large site, where colour coding is not a requirement and cost per unit matters as much as performance.
Built for high-volume site use
Galvanised barriers are the standard across UK construction, civil engineering and infrastructure projects precisely because they do the job without unnecessary cost. On large sites where dozens or hundreds of barriers are deployed, moved and redeployed regularly, the galvanised finish gives you reliable corrosion resistance across the full working life of the barrier without the lead time or cost of a powder coat order. This is the barrier that site managers, groundworks contractors and civil engineering companies reach for when they need volume, speed and dependability.
The galvanised finish
The zinc coating is applied during the galvanising process and bonds across the full surface of the frame, including welds and joints. This gives consistent protection against rust in outdoor UK conditions without a separate coating step. For sites where barriers are stored outside between deployments, the galvanised finish holds up better than a painted alternative over time.
The rigid fixed foot
The foot is welded to the frame as a single piece of steel. On busy civil and construction sites where barriers are moved frequently and handled by multiple operatives, a welded foot removes the loose-component problem entirely. There is nothing to attach, nothing to misplace and no connection point that degrades over repeated deployments.
Connectors and deployment speed
Wrap-around connectors link barriers in one motion without tools. On large infrastructure projects or multi-zone construction sites where long perimeter runs need to go up fast, the speed difference between wrap-around and hook-and-eye adds up across hundreds of joins. Barriers are manufactured at Securasite's West Midlands facility using autonomous robot welding and qualified welders, giving consistent weld quality across high-volume orders.
When to upgrade
This is a cost-effective, no-frills barrier with a 5mm wire insert. For applications involving heavier crowd pressure or more demanding environments, the HD fixed leg barrier (PB-23-HD-001) with 12mm inserts is the better choice. If your site or client requires colour-coded perimeters, the full range is available powder coated to any RAL colour with name plate branding on request.
Ordering and availability
Hire is available alongside purchase. Stock is held at Securasite depots across the Midlands, North, East and South for direct UK-wide delivery. White label delivery is available on request for contractors supplying barriers on behalf of their own clients.
